Today wearing one of my first Hermes scarves, Mon Petit Cheval Mexicain in a low bow knot allowing the neckline of my top (Eric Bompard Ballerina neck in Marine) and my necklace to be seen.
I normally prefer to match my hardware if possible, but to my eye when I purchased the Large Lady Dior it just looked better with gold hardware, my other (Med Pearlised Grey) Lady Dior has Palladium hardware so I snapped this combination up. Worn with J Brands and Roger Vivier Belle Vivier .25 heels.
I looked at a Jumbo Chanel flap in Beige and was on the verge of buying it but they could only find Palladium hardware - again my preference for Beige is Gold hardware. My Hermes bags all have Palladium hardware (apart from the So Black Kelly) so maybe this also influences me towards gold in other lets face it, more accessible brands.
Hope you are having a good week so far, Elle xx

LOVE the bag, maybe one day I'll own one. They are so classic.
I really like the fact that you mix up your fabulous Hermes collection with other luxury brands. I can't imagine how boring/limited it must be to have all one brand - no one can possibly like everything one brand makes!
Still snowed in and totally fed up with it all now! Day 8 of not going out :-(

Thank you! I am yet to use my Grey LD can you believe it? the black is being used though.
It is true about the brands, I actually prefer being in a nice Chanel boutique than the average Hermes (not including Hermes FSH in this). Hermes are so leather orientated it is nice to see the tweeds, fabrics and classic black & cream of Chanel. Plus if you want a bag from Chanel/Dior they are available - the Hermes game is tiresome!
Day 8 of not going out, I feel your pain! I got to 3 days and had to get out are your roads very bad still? we have light rain which I think will move some of the snow, that is lying around, our roads are clear luckily.
Have a good day! x
Perfect Look: Chic, Charming and Fabolous...Cheers!

Thanks!
Dear Elle,
The roads are OK but it's our drive - we have a way from the garages to the gates (which are still operational, thank goodness) but the drive from the gates to the main road is quite long and narrow (with trees both sides!) but I just don't want to risk it although the RR is fine - DH has been out and about in it NP - but the Mercedes is like 'Dancing on Ice'!! I'll let you know if I 'escape'!!
Have a good day too.

Good Luck!
My Merc & the Jag I had were useless in ice/snow! I could not take another year so bought the RR... x
Beautiful pairing Elle, really like how you mixed H accessories and your Dior bag, very classy!
We have had quite a bit of snow here too, but TG my mercedes has 4x4 and has a big engine, so it is coping really well with the weather.
You always have such fabulous hair, could you tell us about your hair care routine please?
Best wishes,
Maggie
Hi Elle - lovely post and love the scarf tied in a low bow! The Dior bag is TDF - I am sure your medium will be lovely come spring/summer. I am coming around to mixing up the brands a bit more too I have started looking at Dior a lot more as you say they are much more accessible too - Hermes is just too dear for some things and I don't know how bag fans out up with "the game"! Have a great evening SAx
What a lovely ensemble!! As a dévotée of Hermès, I can truly appreciate your attachment to all things that come in an orange box tied with brown ribbon.
As to gold v. silver jewelry, it all depends on your complexion and hair color. Do you have more gold or ash in your blonde hair? Are your eyes clear blue or hazel?
What you wear near your face is what really matters. When in doubt, mix gold and silver together. That always makes a great statement.
Color analysis is something I provide to my clients. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
